M.A.C Candy Yum-Yum Dupes

Would you ever dare to wear a bright neon pink on your lips?
If you would have asked me that question a couple of years ago, the answer would most definitely would have been a no.
As I have come more into make-up, I have gained the confidence to wear bright lipsticks in and out of the house, they now have become a staple in my make-up collection!

One of the most famous 'bright' lipsticks is M.A.C's Candy Yum-Yum

Candy Yum-Yum. Matte Finish. £15.00 ($15.00)

Candy Yum-Yum is a bright, neon pink lipstick. It's described as a 'bright pink'. The blue undertones give the impression of pearly white teeth.
Candy Yum-Yum is a definite 'in your face' shade whilst catching attention. It's a beautiful colour, however the downfall of this lipstick would be the formula.

Unfortunatley, Candy Yum-Yum is not just known for it's colour, it's also known for being incredibly dry. This makes it very hard to wear for a long period of time.
However, whilst expanding my make up collection, I have found some similar 'dupes' to this lipstick, some are cheaper and more hydrating on the lips.

Dupes

1. M.A.C Pink Pigeon. Matte Finish. £15.00 ($15.00)

Unfortunatley this lipstick was limited edition, but if you can get your hands on it (maybe from Cosmetic Company Outlet) then I DEFINITLEY would recommend this, its gorgeous! This is completely comparable to Candy Yum-Yum, except it's a little darker.

2. L'oreal Crazy Fuchsia 370. £8.16 or £3.70 (From Amazon)

This lipstick has the same 'fuchsia' feel as Candy Yum-Yum, however, it's more of a coral based lipstick rather than 'in your face.' In some ways this is better than Candy Yum-Yum, it's moisturizing on the lips whilst giving high pigmentation. I'd recommend this to you if you do not feel comfortable wearing a hot pink on your lips.

3. Beauty UK 'Pink My Ride' £3.49

This is by FAR the best find of the bunch. I mean, the name is the cutest thing, right?
This lipstick has the greatest pigmentation of them all (even Candy Yum-Yum) it gives a satin/glossy finish.
The only downside is that it doesn't have great lasting power, I need to touch up throughout the day whilst wearing it. Also, if you are funny about the smell of lipsticks, I wouldn't recommend it, it has a scent of mint that can be a-bit overpowering if worn for a long time. But apart from that, I will be repurchasing this lipstick for forever more.

I hope this helped!
